Thank you to all that participated in this process, showed up to this exhibit, and the these courageous artists!!!
Art that has not was not sold at the show can still be purchased on this site!
Please join us for a celebration of creativity and hope. Friends of Casa Milagro and a local artist who is actively engaged in an Art Therapy process will be displaying their powerful work, ranging from drawings, paintings, sculptures, jewelry, short films, and more on August 17th, 2014 2-5pm at Southwestern College in the Art Therapy building.
The purpose of this exhibit is to raise support for this amazing group of individuals who struggle with mental illness. The goal is to awaken a sense of empowerment through the sharing and selling of their beautiful creations. Art making is a universal language that can allow us all to find commonality as well as compassion for those we may see as the “other”. This show is about overcoming the obstacles that get in the way of human connection in terms of the stigma of mental illness. This is a time to appreciate the gifts this community has to offer.
We encourage you to press the Contact button if you are interested in purchasing any of these pieces to support the artists. Most all art work is for sell. All proceeds go directly to the artists.
